The 3,500 fans in attendance and the millions of fans watching the draft on ESPN on HD TV and mobile devices loaded with the WatchESPN app, are part of this epic three days of drafting that has grown from essentially non-techie to Ultra Sports Techie on a global scale.

Add in the hype about the new movie, “Draft Day” to the promotional mix and this 2014 NFL draft is sure to be a top rated digital show in the U.S. making the league, sponsors and fans happy until their team picks the wrong player because they did not trust the Big Data and instead relied on human instinct.

The NFL Network will have cameras at 20 team draft parties yet it makes me wonder why all the teams do not participate in a draft war room cam unless they are paranoid of exposing themselves to millions of connected fans and fellow football competitors. I like that the defending Super Bowl 48 champions, the Seattle Seahawks, are super fan friendly and allow cams into the draft room.

Top former NFL draftees Clinton Portis and Renaldo Wynn, along with current Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen will be joining ACCDN host, Jeff Fischel, to hang out and watch the draft from a local loft apartment with the cameras on.  By tuning in to theACC.com, fans watching will be listening into their conversations, and will have a chance to chat directly with these professional athletes through twitter by using the hashtag, #theACCDN.

The pros will talk about everything from the impact the player will make on the NFL team that drafted them to the suit the player chooses to wear on Draft night. Fans are encouraged to follow @theACCDN on Twitter and direct questions to the players Twitter handles to get a glimpse of the NFL Draft through the eyes of an athlete.
