The 2014 NAB news coming out of Turin, Italy that Microsoft and deltatre are co-exhibiting to showcase live demos from the sports technology centric 2014 Winter Games and share a glimpse at future major sporting events, including the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, is fantastic. Sports media and technology company deltatre will co-exhibit with Microsoft Corp. at the NAB Show (April 7-10, 2014) at the Las Vegas Convention Center. At booth SL5110, deltatre will showcase its flagship product Diva and live demos from the successful 2014 Winter Games as well as looking at future major sporting events, including the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

Focusing on combined live production solutions for multiscreen audiences, deltatre will pair its expertise capturing live sporting events with Grass Valley’s core technology. deltatre will demonstrate live football demos integrating Grass Valley’s GV STRATUS, K2 Summit and K2 Dyno into deltatre’s Diva sports videoplayer. At the core of the solution is a simplified content delivery, allowing users the same compelling experience on multiple platforms at a lower operational cost for broadcasters.
Jim Irving, deltatre’s UK Commercial Director, will lead the NAB Show session entitled ‘The Future of Sports Video Production’ on Tuesday, April 8, 09:30am (Room S227). This session will explore how deltatre’s cloud-based video production & metadata management tools can provide flexible, scalable and resource-saving remote post-production workflows. Irving will examine the Olympic case as a model to control escalating coverage costs associated with large sporting events.

Additionally, on Tuesday, April 8 (2:00pm) and Wednesday, April 9 (2:30 pm) deltatre USA’s Commercial Director Tomas Robertsson will give a presentation at the Microsoft Mini-Theater. The session will explore how Diva and Windows Azure can give content publishers full control and powerful tools to create and publish massive amounts of content, captivating audiences on multiple devices, with minimal turnaround times and cost.

And at stand SL5305, Forbidden Technologies will demonstrate how deltatre’s Magma cloud based graphics workflow integrates with Forbidden’s FORscene for the creation of Premier League brand graphics directly into the editing tool, ready to be added to the timeline. Magma uses official Premier League data to allow fast, accurate and on-brand graphics creation for producers and editors, without the need for any additional hardware.
