Full Swing, Pioneering Golf Technology Brand, Expands Into New Sport with the KIT Launch Monitor for Baseball
Full Swing just launched the new KIT Launch Monitor for baseball on the heels of an amazing 7-game World Series 2025. Full Swing the golf simulator and launch monitor is a proven sports technology system trusted by the likes of golfing legend Tiger Woods, as well as professionals Jon Rahm, Jordan Spieth, Xander Schauffele, and Dustin Johnson, in addition to sport all-stars, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen and Steph Curry. The KIT launch monitor is revolutionary because it uses Full Swing’s innovative and award-winning technology to produce unseen baseball data in real-time with instant and high-resolution video. The Sports Techie community blog answers the question as to why I feel Full Swing launched this product in the baseball off-season later in the article. KIT for baseball signifies a natural evolution for Full Swing, the Official Licensed Simulator of the PGA TOUR and an Official Technology Partner of TGL presented by SoFi, the tech-infused, indoor golf league co-founded by Woods and Rory McIlroy. The company is headquartered in San Diego, California and has been around for 25 years. By combining several coveted features in one fully portable device to deliver groundbreaking insights for both hitters and pitchers, designed with bat-to-ball contact efficiency, users can discover how players, coaches, and facilities can take their game to the next level with cutting-edge data and performance insights. KIT brings living training into the efficiency era of player development.
“For decades, Full Swing has been a pioneer in golf technology, but our vision has always been bigger,” said Ryan Dotters, Chief Executive Officer, Full Swing. “At our core, we’re a sports company that’s driven to help athletes of all abilities improve. Golfers and baseball players analyze similar metrics when training with cutting-edge tech, which makes our expansion into baseball a natural next step for our brand. We’re excited to share what our talented team of engineers and data scientists has created for the baseball community with the revolutionary KIT.”

Baseball KIT
KIT is the first portable launch monitor that can be set up quickly to measure bat speed without having to place an expensive and breakable sensor on the bat. It is designed to capture 12 metrics on every swing – including Pitch Velocity, Bat Speed and Exit Velocity – allows KIT to predict Potential Exit Velocity and Squared Up Rate, two groundbreaking insights that measure how efficiently a hitter is making contact. This powerful, real-time feedback on quality of bat-to-ball contact gives players and coaches – whether training indoors or outdoors – the unprecedented ability to make immediate, data-informed adjustments whether with a coach or by yourself.
These unseen insights into contact efficiency – which to date could only be captured by expensive, immovable technology installed in Major League Baseball stadiums – are paired with 3D field graphics and automatic video capture on every swing. By providing a clear and quantifiable snapshot of performance, KIT optimizes practice time enabling players to increase and measure their rates of improvement.
Their competition requires an iPad or PC to record training session data. The easy-to-use KIT app offers three subscription levels (Player Basic, Player Premium and Coach) and is compatible with iPhones, iPads, and Android phones and tablets. Data from Live At-Bat, Bullpen and Batting Practice sessions is not only storable for performance tracking over time, but also easily accessible and sharable allowing users, coaches and parents to be on the same page when measuring progress and goals. KIT is ideal for individual consumers, as well as travel teams, high schools, colleges and practice facilities.
KIT offers other distinct competitive edges. Designed to measure both hitting and pitching performance, KIT’s optimally enhanced radar makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Batting metrics include Bat Speed (mph), Exit Velocity (mph), Launch Angle (degrees), Direction (degrees), Distance (feet) and Hit Spin Rate (rpm) while pitching metrics include Speed (mph) and Spin Rate (rpm). Operating KIT’s Live At-Bat mode allows for both pitcher and hitter data to be simultaneously captured and then immediately synched with video and layered onto 3D field graphics. Player Management creates your lineup using real-time data.
Cost for this state-of-the-art functionality is $6,499 making it a significant investment with incredible return on investment (ROI) potential. The fact is, KIT is less than the current generation of less versatile launch monitors.
Numerous ROIs are available for players, coaches, facilities and programs. Players can instantly improve their mechanics and fundamentals during a practice session, then extend improvement in-season and during the playoffs, as well as focus on coaching points in the off-season. Coaches will be able to communicate with younger generations using cool data and easy-to-understand graphics players are already familiar with from watching baseball on TV and playing video games. Facilities can offer improved KIT hitting and pitching training resulting in added charges which increases revenue. Programs that have KIT can thrive like never before and also use it as a recruiting tool when players and parents compare your KIT-enabled program with others that don’t have it.
An added bonus for users who play golf will be a future software update that allows KIT for baseball to be configured as a golf launch monitor. This option is scheduled to be available sometime in 2026.
“KIT is the baseball industry’s first portable launch monitor that captures bat and ball data at this incredible price point,” said Jason Fierro, Chief Operating Officer, Full Swing. “And to incorporate even more value as we introduce KIT to the market, we’ve partnered with Marucci, the official bat of Major League Baseball, to offer a co-branded gear bag with initial purchases. This is the first step of a multi-faceted strategic partnership we’ll be launching with Marucci, and we look forward to sharing more details in the coming months.”
The KIT for baseball can be purchased online directly from Full Swing, with select retail partners expected to be announced soon. For those who want an in-person opportunity to test out KIT, Full Swing will exhibit at the annual convention for the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), January 8-11, 2026 in Columbus, Ohio.

Sports Techie, since I’ve been in the sports tech industry for over 30-years and have demonstrated advanced baseball technology to MLB teams, college baseball programs, high school teams, and to youth baseball, across the nation, the reason they are launching Full Swing Kit for baseball in the off-season, imo, is because during the in-season, it is very difficult to sell revolutionary products because programs, facilities and coaches have their routines in place and budgets spent, making the off-season the perfect time to sell and buy new sports tech products such as at the 2026 ABCA convention.
I was selling the German made Proview in the 1999. I had to push and lug the huge Proview into brand new Safeco Field (opened July 15, 1999 and now T-Mobile Field) for Seattle Mariners Manager, Lou Pinella, to see. Guess who’s sitting in in the coaches seat? Hall of Famer and my favorite baseball player, Ken Griffey Jr., with his cap on backwards, chillin’ behind the desk, relaxing with his feet up. Of course, Griffey had to make a pop-off comment to me as I walked by the office that made everyone laugh. Dartfish sports tech was another product I sold in 2001 and provided demo’s for the Mariners, Georgia Tech baseball, and many others. Seeing similar technologies for baseball come full circle with KIT is fun to learn and write about.
Now, for the first time ever, unlock bat speed without sensors, batted-ball data on a 3D field, and pitching metrics — all in one portable launch monitor system.
Enhance your facility with the industry’s most revolutionary technology. One portable product that captures 12 points of data across hitting and pitching.
Track 10 hitting metrics including bat speed, HIT exit velocity, squared up rate, launch angle and contact quality, on your digital device. Pitchers can learn about pitching velocity and pitch spin rate with more metrics coming soon.
Live At-Bats allows hitters and pitchers to compete in live at-bats with advanced metrics like in-game 3D field view, both indoor and outdoor.
3D Field enables on-field captured data from a coach batting practice or a pitching machine, track smash factor and more.
Bullpen can track pitch velocity and spin rate in real time. Built for bullpens and player development with data that matters.
Batting cage can measure every swing in your cages with instant feedback, spray charts, and post-session reports.
Baseball training just got smarter with the Full Swing KIT!
See you later sportstechie in Seattle, Atlanta and around the world!
