Alianza de Futbol 2022 Tour Finals and National Showcase Comes To Bell Bank Park in Phoenix

After a historic tour that broke the attendance record in many cities  Alianza de Futbol National Finals comes to Phoenix

The Alianza de Futbol 2022 tour’s week-long National Finals hosted by FOR SOCCER VENTURES (FSV) in Phoenix, Arizona is scheduled for November 5-10 at 320-acre, Bell Bank Park. The winners of the regional Verizon Copa Alianza and Ford Copita Alianza events will face off for the finals. The Alianza de Futbol National Finals represents just a portion of the talented players while truly recognizing the cultural passion of the Latino soccer community throughout the United States.  The FSV organization’s mission to engage in the long-term development and growth of American soccer has been featured in the Sports Techie community blog over the past couple years. The most recent historic tour of multiple cities broke the Alianza de Futbol attendance record after before the highly anticipated finals arrives in Phoenix.

Top Soccer Recruiting/Training Programs

The Allstate Sueño Alianza National Showcase, the largest tryout program for Hispanic youth in the United States where more than 30 scouts from Liga MX, MLS, colleges and representatives of the Mexican Soccer Federation and U.S. Soccer will be in attendance runs simultaneous to the regional events. Filtered down from upwards of 4,800 players across the U15, U17, U19 Sueño Alianza boys and girls regional tryouts, only the elite 64 were chosen to be a part of the National Finals.

A team trained by renowned scouts representing the Méxican Federation, coordinated by Rafaél Calderón, Director of Scouting and Coaching at For Soccer Ventures, will be directing the training of the selected 64 youth hopefuls that includes 16 females.

Alianza de Futbol 2022 Takes Finals To Phoenix This Week Off Of A Year of Record Growth In Engagement and Participation

National Finals

At the end of the event, a traditional scarf ceremony takes place that includes invitations from the clubs and/or teams given to the young Hispanic residing in the United States. The scarf ceremony will be led by Enrique Borja, Mexican Soccer legend, serving as master of ceremony.

Regionals

The Verizon Copa Alianza finals are awarding $50,000 in prize money with the champion earning $40,000 and the remaining $10,000 going to the runner-up.

It will be the second year that the Ford Copita Alianza National Finals will be held within its 5 different categories (Sub 13, Sub 15, Women Sub 16, sub 17 and Sub 19) to which the winners of every city of the tour were classified.

Ford Copita Alianza was created to boost Soccer in these categories, also adding the possibility for the young players to be seen by the best scouts. Some 920 players, plus coaches and fans will be present in Phoenix.

During Verizon Copa Alianza, the games will be played first in group stages, after that there will be direct elimination with the finals to be held on November 10.

Since 2017, 5 champions have been crowned, beginning with the Hooligans in 2017, San Nicolás in 2018 and 2019, in 2020 there was a pause due to the COVID19 pandemic, then in 2021 the champs were Mesoamérica.

Seeking entry into the Ford Copita Alianza final game, FC Dallas RGV (champion at Austin) will play to reaffirm its title at Sub 13. El Paso Lokomotiv Academy (Champion at El Paso) will try to repeat at Sub 15. SoCal Select is looking for a new title at Women Sub 16. The Sub 17 and Sub 19 championships are open to win for new champs.

Sports Techie, most of these young, U.S. Hispanic players want to follow in the footsteps of Santiago Muñoz from El Paso TX, currently playing with the Newcastle United in the English Premier League. Another tryout role model is Nico Carrera from Frisco TX playing in Europe on Holstein Kiel from Germany in the Bundesliga. Jonathan Gonzalez de Santa Rosa CA is suiting up for Minnesota United in the MLS. Finally, Jasmy Guerrero, Amalia López, Julie López, Jaida Arizmendi and Elliana Ramírez are currently playing with Pachuca in the Liga MX women.
