Jessica is now a Ready athlete as she competes in the 2022 U.S. Open as one of the the 8th seeds. All the hard work, practice and visualization has paid off during the 2022 season as she rocketed to a career-high WTA ranking of number 7 in singles and another career-best in doubles, ranked No. 6 overall in the world. With partner Coco Gauff, they are one of the top favored tandems to win the US Open double’s championship this year.
Her accomplishments include winning one WTA singles title and two WTA doubles titles, one WTA Challenger doubles title, and seven ITF doubles titles. Pegula is a three-time Grand Slam singles quarterfinalist, having earned this stage twice at the 2021 and 2022 Australian Open and once at the 2022 French Open. She is also a Grand Slam finalist in doubles, achieving this feat at the 2022 French Open with Gauff.
Some interesting and fun facts about Jessica include, she played tennis with Robin Roberts on a feature that aired on Good Morning America when she was 7. The native New Yorker hails from Buffalo and her family owns the NHL Buffalo Sabres and NFL Buffalo Bills. Ironically, Jess started playing tennis and grew up in Wexford, PA, where Ready® headquarters is located. Jess grew up playing soccer, baseball, and softball before committing to tennis. She used to be a switch hitter in baseball. Always looking to the business side, Jessie was the first female athlete & first professional tennis player with an NFT trading card.
