Women’s media company TOGETHXR has partnered with Snapchat on “Snap the Gap,” a content creator accelerator program. TOGETHXR has delivered as the fast-growing and engaging women’s sports media company, and together with partner Snapchat (Snap Inc.) have returned the groundbreaking ‘Snap the Gap’ content creator accelerator program with a second version consisting of nine influential ‘Snap Stars.” Co-founded by sports media veteran Jessica Robertson alongside four of the world’s greatest professional athletes — Alex Morgan, Chloe Kim, Simone Manuel, and Sue Bird — TOGETHXR focuses on rich storytelling rooted in lifestyle and youth culture. The Sports Techie community blog curator was raised by the best women’s basketball player in Ecuadorian history who is now 86-years old and as a result, I’ve long been a supporter of female sports. The range includes professional, collegiate and amateurs, as well as youth aged girls up to retired lady athletes, some still active and inspiring as centurions. The wide variety of inspiring female participants accepted into the popular program as athletes representing their respective sport, team or league have access to strategic guidance, resources, and direct mentorship to assist with growing personal brands, creating compelling content, increase audience size and reach, and ultimately, unlocking sustainable revenue through story monetization on SnapChat.

By renewing the partnership, TOGETHXR earned the opportunity to continue building on the momentum of the inaugural program on Snapchat. Last year saw the inaugural athletes share more than 14,000 Snap Stories and 524 Spotlights over a three month period, generating in excess of 16 million Snap Story views and 26 million Spotlight views. Another key result was Snap Stars grew their Snapchat follower counts by an average of 1,491% during the cohort year.
