Leading into the Super Bowl, Pepsi surprised some lucky Denver residents when a vending machine declaring “Free Pepsi” delivered much more than advertised as the city got ready for their AFC Champions Broncos play the NFC Champions Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII held at MetLife Stadium in New York and New Jersey last Sunday, in a one-sided affair the Hawks won delivering Seattle its first NFL Championship and the Lombardy trophy to the 206. The Sports Techie community is happy to share this Pepsi advertising campaign with our readers because your city might be next.
Pepsi #Halftime Denver
Denver passersby who pressed the button for free soda were greeted with a big surprise: cheerleaders, dancers and the ultimate prize for football fans – a trip to the Super Bowl and tickets to the halftime show with Bruno Mars and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Mascots, officials break dancing and a marching band, along with food vendors, a rock star, some kind of robot dude in a space suit with big hair, plus a women in the military and a musician, help give this SuperBowl advert a community feel and Broncos team spirit. This kind of fan togetherness helps with winning. Denver was hyped for #halftime by Pepsi just like Hawks fans around the globe after Super Bowl XLVIII.
See how Pepsi took the city of Denver by storm to get people Hyped for Halftime.

Our thanks to Pepsi for sharing these fun stories.
Sports Techie, Even though the Chili Peppers did not plug in their electric guitars during their part of the halftime show and faked it, the Bruno Mars band was electric boogieland and combined with the Red Hot’s, Bruno made for a #halftime worthy of SB 48 and Pepsi.
Whether it’s in Denver, Milligan, or your city next, vending machines, complete with marching bands, cheerleaders and Pepsi, will shock and energize everyone out of their daily routine after popping up on your home street or work building corner giving away free Pepsi products.
Bring on Seattle, Pepsi!
