Sports Techie, lax is a fan-friendly sport for viewing on TV, and is especially fun when watching the live action in person. To backup these statements, ESPN agreed to broadcast a handful of games this season, and the NLL welcomed a record 1,165,528 fans that attended games in 2022-23.

Lacrosse is the oldest sport in North America. Founded in 1986, the NLL is comprised of 15 franchises across the United States and Canada.

The league recently unveiled its largest brand campaign ever, “Welcome to The Next Major League™” and introduced its comprehensive grassroots initiative, NLL UnBOXed™, that will expand the League’s footprint to more than 60 communities across North America by 2027.

These two new campaigns aim to support the growth and popularity of sixes lacrosse which was added to the LA28 Summer Olympic Games an an official sport.

There are many reasons why I played, coached, officiated, and now write about the sport of lacrosse the past 40-years. I started playing at Redmond High School back in 1983. Lax has the individual, athletic elements of hockey, football, soccer, and baseball. The team aspects of these sports also mirror lacrosse. Its easy to fall in love with lacrosse whether you are a player, coach, fan, sponsor, or hometown.
