Sports Techie, I have been a Premier League fan since the 1970’s when our neighbor in Redmond, WA, Bobby Howe, a former West Ham United player, coached the Seattle Sounders in the old NASL. Moving down the street from Microsoft when the software company was one year old was a catalyst for becoming a sports tech expert.
Learning about Oracle Cloud POS being named as the official point of sale (POS) and payments provider for Fulham FCC and Fulham Pier is a real privilege I am grateful to be able to share with our global followers and readers.
I’ve never visited the UK but when I do, Craven Cottage and Fulham Pier on River Thames is now a bucket list priority to take in. I look forward to an order of chippy and a fresh pint while chatting with the server using the Oracle POS conversational ordering component to learn more about London’s oldest club and the new riverside entertainment destination.
Even if the Internet goes down, Oracle allows for local loading to keep the business operating. I also look forward to seeing how Oracle POS gift and loyalty is scaled for the Fulham faithful. Oracle’s open API architecture, Cloud security and Cloud ecosystem partners are other key features I see tremendous value in.
As a side note, in 2019, Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison and Sir Russell Coutts, launched SailGP.
I have no idea if Larry has met Shahid Khan, however, these two billionaires are now connected via this Oracle POS and Fulham FC deal.
One thing I do know is the Fulham faithful can look forward to an improved fan experience as a result of this collaboration when Manchester United plays Fulham FC on Saturday, August 24 at Craven Cottage.
Fulham Pier riverside entertainment district is sure to be lively for this compelling match as fans happily sing, Live by the river.
Cheers!
See you later sportstechie in Seattle, Atlanta and around the world!
