VKTRY GEAR Insoles Adds NBA Legend Tracy McGrady As Basketball Ambassador

Basketball Hall of Famer Tracy McGrady Becomes Latest Elite Athlete To Join The VKTRY Insole Team

VKTRY GEAR performance insoles has pivoted from dominating football to looking to do the same in basketball by signing Tracy McGrady as a brand ambassador in addition to his membership acceptance to the company advisory board comprised of fellow influential athletes. The sports tech company is expanding into hoops and will rely on the Basketball Hall of Fame member to accelerate user adoption worldwide, concentrating in the U.S. and Asia where McGrady enjoyed a 15-year NBA career followed by a brief stint with the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). The Sports Techie community blog highlighted VKTRY’s association with more than 200 NFL players, representing 29 of the 32 franchises during the 2020 season, amounting to a 300% increase over their 2019 carbon fiber insole wearing numbers. McGrady is a current AAU youth basketball coach making him a perfect entrepreneurial fit for VKTRY’s multi-level basketball expansion.

“We are very proud to have an NBA Legend like Tracy McGrady joining Team VKTRY as both a spokesperson and advisor,” said Steve Wasik VKTRY CEO. “It seems only natural that one of the most explosive scorers of his generation is now representing the most explosive sports insole ever created. As an elite athlete and now coach for one of the best AAU programs in America, Tracy’s experience is incredibly helpful as the VKTRY business continues to grow.”

Tracy McGrady

I was fortunate to work as the Wetpaint curator and moderator for the official Rockets wiki in 2009 and 2010 NBA seasons when Tracy played in Houston after a trade from the Toronto Raptors allowing me to admire his competitive spirit, Hall of Famer skill sets and leadership qualities. He teamed with Chinese center Yao Ming to make the team an instant championship contender.

The seven-time NBA All Star and All NBA selection entered the league after a storied high school career as the ninth selection of the Raptors during the 1997 draft. He went on to become a two-time scoring leader as well as winning the NBA’s Most Improved Player award. In the year 2000, he was traded to the Orlando Magic where he garnered votes for the NBA Most Valuable Player Award after becoming a human scoring machine. In 2013, McGrady played oversees for the Qingdao DoubleStar Eagles and came back to America to play for the San Antonio Spurs. Later that year, Tracy announced his retirement to the dismay of his many fans across the globe. His word and actions impact professional, collegiate, and amateur ball players as well as high school and youth programs.

“In basketball, jumping a couple inches higher and having a more explosive first step, makes a huge difference in your game,” McGrady added. “Besides the performance benefits, I really like the added stability and shock absorption you get with VKs which helps to protect against injuries. I think all athletes, parents and coaches should try VKTRY Insoles for themselves – I’m glad I did.”

Sci-Tech

Science and technology are what make VKTRY insoles a cut above insole competitors. The aerospace quality carbon fiber in the product creates the effect of storing energy and returning that energy back to the athlete. The insoles cause and effects result in a “spring-like” improvement in shock abortion abilities, a reduced work load, and less accompanying stress on a user’s body, muscles and tendons.

Independent performance tests indicate VKs increase a board jump by an average of +4.0” and a vertical jump by +1.6” while improving the all-important 40-yard dash times used at the NFL Draft by 0.12 seconds, or enough time shaving to move users up the draft board and earn an exponential increase in salary, guaranteed contract money and bonuses.

These game-changing insoles come in five levels of insole flexibility. Each is designed by VKTRY to increase performance and protect the user while offering better foot comfort than traditional insoles do.

A newer study of 263 NCAA athletes (not amateurs anymore after today’s landmark anti-trust law ruling by the US Supreme Court) provided data supporting the following metrics when wearing VKS: 41% less foot injuries and 22% less lower leg injuries, respectively.

User Adoption

The latest count has over 300 professional and college teams VKTRY Insoles during training, practice, rehab, and gameday competitions.

The US Olympic Bobsled Team were the first athletes looking to increase agility, power and explosiveness though insoles so in stepped VKTRY. In 2010, Team USA won gold in the 4-man bobsled wearing VKs marking a return to the podium for the first time in six decades.

VKRY is now mainstream allows aging athletes, young kids and every person in-between to enjoy the return of power, better stability and increase in shock absorption the insoles provide your feet.

Seven Time NBA All-Star, Entrepreneur and AAU Coach To Be Key Part of Brand Expansion Into Basketball On All Levels

Sports Techie, I use insoles in all my shoes but have not tested or seen VKs in person but when DK, Chubb and now McGrady, all speak highly of the product, the brand and management, you best pay immediate attention.

I sure could have used the extra inch or two in my vert while playing on the varsity basketball team at Redmond High School, or when playing collegiate lacrosse at Whittier College against the new Syracuse men’s lacrosse Head Coach, Gary Gait.

That was then, this is now.
