Six National Lacrosse League (NLL) teams have clinched 2024 playoff spots leaving two open slots for the five teams still in the hunt. The NLL decided to implement a new unified standings and playoff format for the 2023-24 NLL regular season. The League’s decision makers vision was to have the final weekend matter for the teams still looking to qualify for the final postseason berths before the playoffs start on April 26-28. The Sports Techie community blog fans, this master scheduling plan indeed worked. This final week, five teams are still alive and vying for the final two spots in the 2024 NLL Playoffs at the conclusion of the The March to May this weekend. The NLL postseason schedule, including the ESPN and TSN broadcast slate, will be released following the regular season. Exact scenarios will be announced later in the week.

Playoff Seeding and Match-Ups

The Toronto Rock (14-3) and San Diego Seals (12-5) have clinched seeds #1 and #2, and thus home floor advantage for the single-elimination quarterfinals (April 26-28) and the semifinals (May 3-5) should either team advance.

Several other teams have clinched playoff berths, but their seeds and first-round matchups are still to be determined.

The Albany FireWolves (10-7), Georgia Swarm (10-7), defending champion Buffalo Bandits (10-7), and Halifax Thunderbirds (9-8) have secured postseason spots.

While the final two berths will be claimed by either the Panther City Lacrosse Club (9-8), Vancouver Warriors (8-9), Saskatchewan Rush (8-9), New York Riptide (8-9), or Rochester Knighthawks (6-10).
