Franklin Sports and the Association of Pickleball Professionals Partner to Debut Inaugural Franklin New York City Open
The new Franklin New York City Open begins play on May 25, 2022 and will showcase professional pickleball at the highest levels to fans of the Association of Pickleball Professionals (APP) tour. Title sponsor and sport champion, Franklin Sport, is ponying up for the $125,000 prize. Franklin NYC Open winners earn a golden ticket to the USA Pickleball National Championship later this year. The Big Apple is poised to host the fastest growing sport in America as top professional athletes in the APP compete for the inaugural championship title. A player on the Franklin roster of professional athletes may very well win this first tournament but look to the Kentucky Derby upset for the ages by longshot horse Rich Strike to know anyone entered can win, no matter their ranking or affiliations.
