NeuroTennis Sponsors WTA Player Lauren Davis Beginning At Australian Open

NeuroTennis Signs WTA Player Lauren Davis To Official Sponsorship Deal For 2021

NeuroTennis, let that sink in. Train your brain, raise you game. Intrigued yet serious tennis players, instructors and students of the game around the globe? American WTA player Lauren Davis, ranked number 75 in the WTA World Tour rankings going into the Australian Open, was serious about it and is now sponsored by this smart wearables tennis wristband company for 2021. The Sports Techie community blog chatted with Cameron Lickle, COO of NeuroTennis, Inc., about the company product designed with superstar Mats Wilander, 8-time Grand Slam Champion and formerly ranked number 1 in the world, and why Davis was a good fit, and his belief that serious tennis players worldwide can now “Do It Like Davis” or create custom workouts with her voiceover or that of Mats. The band uses sensors that react in real-time when a ball is struck complimenting rhythm of play. It comes loaded with a library with enough lessons and drills to get any level of skill player moving in the right direction. I have used and approve this proprietary sports technology product by NeuroTennis, tennis improvement can happen literally overnight.

“Do It Like Davis”

Do It Like Davis

Using the NeuroTennis wristband, professional, collegiate, junior and the many recreational players worldwide can take part in a virtual tennis lesson with coach Davis called “Do It Like Davis.” The lesson is composed of five drills, including:

1) Laurentating forehands (She calls out the shots she wants you to hit)

2) King Kong Backhands

3) Cardiac Arrest (High low drill)

4) Serving Shouldn’t Be Nerving

5) Rapid Fire Volley Drill

All instructions within NeuroTennis are available to download using Davis’ voice. Each tailored instruction has a video of her teaching what each lesson, drill or fundamental means using tennis terms.

Davis trains in Jupiter, Florida. She added, “The NeuroTennis wristband trains you to focus, react quickly and work on specific improvements in your game. It’s been a nice added feature to mix in with my workouts as I prepared for the 2021 season.”

Aussie Open

The WTA World Tour is just getting underway for the year Down Under as the fanless tournament enters its final stages with fans finally in attendance under strict COVID-19 protocols for the limited amount of fans in attendance for the semifinals and finals.

Athletes like Davis are constantly looking for ways to get a competitive edge on their opponents. “In preparation for the Australian Open I’ve incorporated the NeuroTennis technologies into my training and workouts,” said Davis.

NeuroTennis Success

After speaking with Cam, using the band some, and then watching the 2021 Australian Open for the first-time last night, I feel like I get what NeuroTennis truly offers.

The technology itself is well designed and right away I liked the easy interface with, less is more, in term of buttons and actions.

This is the first rendition so keep your expectations as such. I love being a first user. Today, I felt like one when I got my Pfizer vaccine shot number one and it didn’t stop me nor should it you if your intentions are to work to improve your game because NeuroTennis will do that now with the right user commitment.

How NeuroTennis Works

The band coaches while you play. A 2-player system trains users to move, prepare, and execute when needed for better efficiency and effectiveness.

“If you are serious about improving your tennis…NeuroTennis is for you,” said Lickle.

Smart tennis wristband company NeuroTennis, Inc.

The ability to use existing content, lists and videos, and also create custom video lessons and drills, takes a small bit of leg work right out of the box as any tech product does over $25. Lickle walked me through the easy-to-understand process of using the wristband, connecting a device, and synching two wristbands together.

We made a new lesson specially for me to target my below average second serve that tennis players with skills t-off on because my spin and placement are off. Cam is a USPTA Pro Tennis Coach so he knew my pain and how to fix it.

It was easy as pie to save “Bob’s Lesson” under the ‘Lessons’ tab. I then added “Bob’s Second Serve” and filled it with three existing drills from the baseline. First up, “Mix Up You Placement,” followed by “Remember to use spin,” and finally, “Snap Through It.” A real cool and useful feature is adding the voice of Davis or Wilander as your training instructor.

This coaching instruction can then be sent to your device (s) for on court practice with another if they have a synced wristband for two player mode, or solo mode.

NeuroTennis Launched, Sept 17 2020, L-R, Wilander, Cohen brothers, Lickle

Sports Techie, to get to the next level, whether a rookie, mid-range or highly ranked player, the game of tennis has fundamentals just like any sport you play. NeuroTennis helps to develop muscle memory of fundamentals and more, like the best players practice hard to have.

I witnessed the possible ascension of Jenifer Brady up the list of America’s best players, male or female, last evening at the Aussie Open. She found her grove for the third set almost like she was wearing NeuroTennis. The other women’s semifinal tonight features the GOAT, Serena Williams versus Naomi Osaka, in a revenge match from their 2018 U.S. Open match, for the ages.

My favorite male player, Rafael Nadal, was going after Grand Slam title 21, breaking his tie at 20 with Roger Federer but lost today in the men’s quarterfinals. Not much stands in the way of the world’s No. 1 Novak Djokovic, the eight-time Australian Open champion is seeking his 18th major come Sunday.

You seriously want to improve, NeuroTennis is on sale right now for $289 with a coupon.

Make is so.
