Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame Elevates Experience with Microsoft Gaming Lounge

Collaboration provides guests new immersive opportunity to experience the game-day atmosphere

Atlanta’s College Football Hall of Fame launched the new Microsoft Gaming Lounge this week as fans get ready for Conference Championship games this weekend. The Sports Techie community blog first learned about this immersive space within the 94,256-square-foot attraction at the 2023 Football Fest from Hall of Fame President and CEO Kimberly Beaudin. Gamers can challenge their gaming skills at the exhibit, located on the second floor next to the Andrea and James Clarke Family Gallery. Interested fans can sit comfortably at six individual gaming stations, equipped with the same luxurious leather chairs found in state-of-the-art college football locker rooms, where each station is equipped with the latest Xbox Series X console and loaded with EA Sports NCAA Football 14. The next phase of Microsoft Gaming Lounge consists of upgrading to the highly anticipated release of EA Sports NCAA Football 24 and more. This innovative sports tech fan experience also commemorates the 10-year anniversary of the Hall of Fame relocating to Atlanta, the capital of college football. The SEC Championship game between Alabama and number one ranked, Georgia, the two-time defending National Champions, will be played this Saturday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, right around the corner from the Hall of Fame. The city is alive with college football fever all year round and there is no better place to enjoy the game day experience than the Hall, and the new Microsoft GameDay Lounge. Load the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs NCAA Football 14 gaming sim and wear the virtual coaching hats of Head Coach Nick Saban and Kirby Smart, respectively. It simply doesn’t get any better expect for playing the real collegiate football games.

“By embracing the convergence of sports and gaming, the Microsoft Gaming Lounge exemplifies the Hall of Fame’s commitment to providing a truly immersive and interactive experience for our visitors,” said President & CEO Kimberly Beaudin. “It’s an honor to celebrate this unique fusion of tradition and innovation, reinforcing the Hall’s status as a premier destination for sports and entertainment enthusiasts alike.”

This uniquely designed setup was built to also host competitive Esports events and thrilling tournament-style events for visitors to the Hall of Fame.

“It’s a pleasure to continue to support the great work the College Football Hall of Fame drives locally and across the football world,” said James Bernstrom, Head of CFHOF Partnership. “Throughout our partnership, we’ve been able to increase the love of visitors to the Hall by utilizing and deploying engaging Microsoft technology solutions. The new deployment of Xbox consoles in the Microsoft Gaming Lounge exhibit is another example of how great partners work together to provide great things for their fans.”

Sports Techie, because I hail from the state of Washington, I am excited for the Pac-12 Championship game tonight between undefeated UW and one-loss Oregon, hosted at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, and broadcasting on ESPN, which sadly marks the end of the Pac-12 as we know it. Fortunately, the newest version of NCAA Football 14 will forever capture the former Pac-10 in all it’s glory as the strongest Conference, top to bottom, this 2023/24 season. Sorry to say this to all you hardcore SEC fans but facts are facts.

Bring your A-game down to the Hall’s striking Microsoft Gaming Lounge and load in ‘The Game’ between Michigan and Ohio State, and enjoy having Coach Harbaugh actually on the sideline! Play with the ACC’s undefeated for now, Florida State University team. Why not try your hand at being Texas, who defeated Alabama earlier this season. That’s the beauty of gaming, you can be whoever you want, and match up against the best of the best, to see who rises to the top at the College Football Hall of Fame’s, Microsoft Gaming Lounge.

Just please don’t say its Colorado and Head Coach Deion Sanders at least until the launch of EA Sports’ NCAA Football 24 when Prime might actually be on the cover.

Because we live the the Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) era, understand, many of the players are being paid money to play the actual game, and hopefully, by EA Sports and the NCAA. The transfer portal is also another game-changer for athletes and programs alike.

PS – The Hall is Sensory friendly and certified as such by Kulture City.
