FSV’s The Association Influencer Soccer League Adds Bodyarmor Sponsorship


BodyArmor Takes Presenting Sponsor title For LA-Based Grassroots and influencer led soccer league, “The Association”

For Soccer Ventures (FSV) announced from Los Angeles, The Association’s influencer soccer league deal with Bodyarmor, a subsidiary of the Coca-Cola Company, as presenting sponsor. Entered 5v5 indoor teams include Google, CAA, Sony, AEG, Religion Of Sports, Immortals FC, 424, Winston House, The Shoe Surgeon, and the American Outlaws. FSV is an independent media and experiences company developed to enrich and grow soccer across the United States with a long-term focus. The Association was acquired by FSV in 2021 after the experiential soccer league formed to celebrate the sport, culture, and people that help to add to the sport’s vibrancy. The Sports Techie community blog showcased several of FSV programs in the past, in a lead up to the 2022 World Cup. Adding BodyArmor sports drink as title sponsor is a good hydration fit for the participants, fans and community alike because they are the #2 ranked U.S. Sports Drink.

The Association

The Association was created to feature a diverse group of impactful and influential soccer, fashion, music, and popular culture personalities made up of various teams around the L.A. region. LA-based businesses and brands are scheduled to play in the two-month, 10-game league competition every Thursday night at Optimist Studios at The ANNEX located in El Segundo, CA.

Come matchday, players, fans and locals can all look forward to a collaborative space and platform consisting of local voices representing art, music, fashion, sneakers, tech, gaming, and more. The immersive fan and player experience boasts unique brand activations, live music provided by various DJs, celebrity appearances, free food and drinks, live art installations and a full-service merchandise area.

Space United Model

The Association helped launch SpaceX’s Space United during the 2018-19 season providing the game of soccer as a means to engage area youth through STEM education.

Similar to Space United, The Association League will launch original outreach programs together with local youth soccer organizations to motivate and nurture the next generation both on and off the field, while working with brand partners to leave a lasting legacy in the community.

BODYARMOR is a premium, sports drink that provides superior hydration


This new initiative builds upon Bodyarmor’s existing involvement with the larger soccer community as the Official Sports Drink of Major League Soccer (MLS) since 2019. Earlier this year, BODYARMOR and For Soccer Ventures also partnered on a successful grassroots community project in Minneapolis, MN at the 2022 Major League Soccer All-Star Game.

The Association League is co-ed, requiring one female on the pitch with four men. Perhaps that requirement ratio will increase to 2 or even 3 females in the future as girls soccer is a U.S. treasure.
