France Télévisions will create broadcasting history with the 100 percent cloud-based broadcast of the Relay of the Olympic flame delivered entirely on a 5G/Starlink network leveraging TVU Networks proprietary solutions. The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games host broadcaster will launch the innovative Paris 2024 Olympic Channel next month, beginning on May 8. The sports business alliance has committed to greater energy and environmental sustainability by transforming its broadcasting methods, adopting solutions for the flame’s journey that leverage cloud technology, 5G, Starlink, and the use of drones. The end goal is to unite all of France and their citizens worldwide starting with the traditional Olympic flame and the moment it reaches France. Look for the Olympic Torch Relay to start on April 17 in Olympia, Greece, then it moves to Athens. After boarding the Belem, it crosses the Mediterranean Sea to Marseille. On May 8, the Olympic flame starts its path across France. Step 68 finds the Olympic flame back in Paris on July 26 for the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.
