Youth Athletes United Brand Ambassador Trinity Rodman

LOUISVILLE, KY – NOVEMBER 20: Trinity Rodman #2 of the Washington Spirit dribbles during a game between Chicago Red Stars and Washington Spirit at Lynn Family Stadium on November 20, 2021 in Louisville, Kentucky.

The newest 2022 Youth Athletes United brand ambassador is Trinity Rodman. She comes aboard as both the 2021 U.S. Soccer Young Female Player of the Year and NWSL Rookie of the Year award winner, and is herself, a former Amazing Athlete’s program participant. As the United States begins to get back to normalcy and ramp up activities after the COVID-19 pandemic peaks, American kids can join one of the fastest-growing multi-sport programs in the nation with headquarters in New York and supported by 291 territories nationwide, just like Trinity did a few years ago. The bonus being all 200,000 children instructed per year can now look forward to Rodman fulfilling her role as Brand Ambassador for all of the Youth Athletes United programs. Many communities throughout the U.S. are now aware of multi-brand franchisor and their sport businesses, Soccer Stars, Amazing Athletes, TGA Premier Sports, Little Rookies Baseball and JumpBunch. The Sports Techie community blog looks forward to sharing more about the sportsbiz journey Trinity is on as a female athlete influencer. Medical experts at Emory University say specializing in one sport as a kid offers little advantage with later success. To further this notion, the Amazing Athlete program hit a grand slam, shoot out winning goal helping to develop Rodman’s amazing athletic skills as a girl and teenager by participating in a wider-range of sport offerings. Way to go and a shout out to her parents for making this so. She is close to her Mother, Michelle Moyer, and not so much with her celebrity Father, former NBA Star Dennis Rodman. Canadian tennis star, Leylah Fernandez, signed on as a brand ambassador with Youth Athletes United earlier this year. Who is next?

She Rodman

Youth Athletes United plans to activate Rodman’s role as a Brand Ambassador via live and dedicated social media, video content, local franchise clinics, and personal appearances.

Matt Stefan, Director of National Marketing, noted that Amazing Athletes and Soccer Stars will hold Rodman-co-branded clinics and classes for franchisees to encourage more young players to participate in youth sports offered by the brands.

“We believe that every kid is an athlete,” said Stefan. “With 20-plus-years of experience creating fun, engaging content, our goal is to impact more than one million kids a year through our programs. Ultimately, we want to encourage children not only to participate in sports, but to help them find their passion that keeps them playing and staying active. With Trinity joining us as a Brand Ambassador, sharing her success and showing the impact youth sports can have, we’re on the right path.”

“Sports have always been a part of me and my family’s life,” said Rodman. “Experiencing different sports at an early age is what allowed me to find my passion for soccer. To be able to take my experiences and partner with Amazing Athletes and Soccer Stars to impact kids all across the country is very exciting. I hope I can inspire more youth athletes to continue to be active and follow their own path in sports.”

Rodman and Youth Athletes United will also work alongside franchisees in a concerted effort to help drive more free Soccer for All programs to communities that do not have access or exposure to soccer or multi-sport programs.

19-Year Prep

Rodman is 19-years old and it appears her wide variety of athletic experiences prepared her well to excel in soccer when the time came. She currently is a forward on the Washington Spirit and is the youngest player ever drafted in NWSL history. Besides earning the 2021 NWSL ROY award after scoing12 points (six goals, six assists), Tiffany was named to the NWSL’s Best XI First Team. To top it all off, the budding superstar recently made her USWNT debut during the 2022 SheBelieves Cup. Rodman gives credit for her professional soccer path to consistent training, proper nutrition and knowing the value of teamwork — all values that Youth Athletes United teaches its young athletes in its multi-sport programs.

“Trinity has an authentic tie to our brand, as Amazing Athletes was one of the multi-sport programs she took as a child, and knows first hand how sports impact childrens’ lives and development,” said Adam Geisler, CEO of Youth Athletes. “We are thrilled to have her as an ambassador as we continue to grow our brands.”

Soccer Stars

For over 20 years, Soccer Stars has been one of the nation’s most popular youth soccer programs for children ages 1–16. The youth soccer program is set in a fun, non-competitive environment, with additional development and travel programs. Soccer Stars’ crib-to-college programming introduces young athletes to the fundamentals of soccer with a unique, age-specific curriculum designed to improve soccer skills, build self-confidence and develop socialization skills.

Sports Techie, recent data and studies are showing specialization in sport in childhood can increase the risk of injury and most likely plays little to any role at all in later successes, according to PopSci. One such result, published in 2019 in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, showcased a clear indication, “Zero out of twenty-two studies demonstrated that there was any advantage to specialization,” said Neeru Jayanthi, a physician at Emory Sports Medicine here in Atlanta. Amazing Athletes helped Trinity be part of this scientifically backed trend.

I played so many sports as a youth – it makes for a better question: What sport did I not play as a kid? Answer: not many.

My son starts playing baseball this coming Sunday in Brookhaven on the Murphey Candler Challenger Scrappers, it’s his first time playing on an organized sports team. By the time I was his age, I had already joined baseball, basketball, soccer and swimming programs. I played tennis and golf with family and friends while growing up in Washington state. I first played tackle football in 5th grade. I picked up lacrosse as a junior at Redmond High School and played through college and as an adult. My biking skills, both mountain and rode, have been well honed since youth. I’ve played water polo, beach volleyball, snow boarding and done some Nordic skiing but these aren’t my go-to sports. I do not have much experience with equestrian or wingsuit but neither do most of you. Motorsports are fun no matter what age or gender.

Youth Athletes United makes sure you get well-rounded athletic training, multiple opportunities and socialization. I am the proud Father of a special needs, 8-year old on the autism spectrum making socialization a huge priority after two-years of COVID shutting down sport camps, sports academies and athletic programs across Georgia. Kids are definitely in need of more social interactions between peers, coaches and opponents.

The brand’s overarching mission is to help the world understand that every kid is an athlete, and ultimately impact the lives of over one million children.

Lead the way for our next-generation of girls and boys, Youth Athletes United brand ambassador, Trinity Rodman.
