Space Jam: A New Legacy, is launching it’s highly anticipated soundtrack early next month to the delight of theater movie goers, online streamers and music fans, alike. The Jam 2 features a variety of urban musical artists such as Portland State University’s finest, Aminé, a rapper, singer, and songwriter hailing from Oregon. The funky beats keep coming from the likes of the Jonas Brothers, John Legend, Lil Baby and Kirk Franklin, basketball handling Anthony Ramos, 24KGoldn featuring Lil Wayne, Chance the Rapper featuring John Legend and Symba, Lil Tecca, Big Freedia, Joyner Lucas, Leon Bridges, BrockHampton, SAINt JHN featuring SZA, G-EAZY, P-LO and White Dave, Cordae & DUCHWRTH, plus Dame D.O.L.L.A., and SAWEETIE featuring Salt-N-Pepa and Kash Doll. The Sports Techie community blog got a preview of the storyline when the Goon Squad was announced in June. The new soundtrack is available July 9th or preorder, now. Warner Bros. Pictures Presents a Proximity/The SpringHill Company Production, a Malcolm D. Lee Film, “Space Jam: A New Legacy.” The original Space Jam movie debuted in 1996 and starred the old GOAT, Michael Jordan. This sequel film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures. It will be released in theaters nationwide on July 16, 2021 and will be available in the U.S. on HBO Max for 31 days from theatrical release.
The Warner Brothers animated and live-action film features The Bunny and GOAT, Bugs and LeBron James, respectively. The low talent Tune squad is put together to play the ultra talented Goon Squad after Bron and his son Dom virtually step into a “Matrix” like digital space because an evil A.I. computer dude kidnaped his boy and forces Dad to rally the Tunes to win the game of freedom so the James family can be together on Earth once again. As a parent of an 8-year old, special needs kid myself, I would also go to the end of all unknown universes to save my child, same as @KingJames and most all of you, without any hesitation. This inner feeling is similar to taking the ball to the hole with the basketball game on the line fully aware that every opponent on the court will do just about anything humanly, and cartoonish, to stop you. Bring it on.
“Space Jam: A New Legacy,” is directed by Malcolm D. Lee. He worked with creative filmmakers Ryan Coogler and Maverick Carter, to make it just so.
Bugs, Lola Bunny, Daffy Duck, and the whole cartoon gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes need a win over the A.I.’s digitized champions featuring a powered-up roster of professional hoops stars. It’s Tunes against Goons in the highest-stakes challenge of his life, that will redefine LeBron’s bond with his son and shine a light on the power of being yourself. The ready-for-action Tunes destroy convention, supercharge their unique talents and surprise even “King” James by playing the game their own way.
