VKTRY Insoles are inside the running, lifting and workout shoes top NFL Draft prospects are wearing for upcoming Pro Days. The carbon fiber insoles are constructed out of aerospace-grade carbon fiber. The scientific concept is they return energy (like carbon fiber or other advanced materials in prosthetics) through a bounce back effect, with every step, jump or cut. The Sports Techie community blog welcomes professional and amateur athletes searching for these types of legal, performance enhancing sports tech products. There is no NFL Combine this year because of the pandemic and ensuing COVID-19 health and safety protocols, therefore, these former collegiate football players will host local skill evaluations for scouts, coaches and team front office executives, similar to what goes on in Indianapolis. The fact is, more than 100 players in the draft, representing 60 universities and colleges will all be dressed with VKTRY Gear insoles.
VKTRY User Adoption
Stars of the league such as Georgia’s Nick Chubb, RB for the Cleveland Browns, are also early adopters of the unique product joining projected first round picks: Florida TE Kyle Pitts, Alabama Running Back Najee Harris, Virginia Tech CB Caleb Farley, Miami DL Gregory Rosseau, Miami DE Jaelen Phillips, and LSU WR Terrace Marshall.
“I have worn VKs since I was a rookie and I love the added burst and explosiveness they give me on the field. I seriously feel 10X faster with VKs,” said Chubb, a two time All Pro selection while leading the Browns in rushing the past two seasons, The club earned their first road playoff dating back to 1969 over division rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers, in the AFC Wild Card playoffs game.
Prospects hailing from each Power Five Conference are outfitting with VKTRY Gear during Pro Days for the first time. That decision could earn them thousands, if not millions of extra dollars as they move up team’s draft boards because of better performance numbers.
“Many of our relationships with NFL stars began at the Combine where athletes experience +9.3% added explosiveness from their VKs,” said VKTRY CEO Steve Wasik. “Most athletes see significant improvements in the broad jump, the vertical jump and their time in the 40. They really feel the difference and understand how VKTRY Insoles can help them get an edge both at the Combine and on the playing field. Athletes also appreciate the improved injury protection with VKs, recently proven by one of the top athletic research facilities in the world, the Korey Stringer Institute at the University of Connecticut.”
The pandemic 2020 NFL season saw a record number of NFL players wearing VTTRY’s carbon fiber insole, with more than 200 athletes representing 29 of the 32 franchises. This resulted in a massive 300% increase compared to 2019.
Besides Chubb, the fast-growth list of NFL users included a health mix of young superstars and play-making veterans, including, Seattle Seahawks WR DK Metcalf, Las Vegas Raiders RB Josh Jacobs, NY Jets DE Quinnen Williams, SF 49ers WR “Deebo” Samuel Washington, Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson, RB Antonio Gibson, Buffalo Bills RB Devin Singletary, Buffalo Bills CB Josh Norman, Chicago Bears WR Anthony Miller, LA Chargers OT Brian Bulaga, Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant, New York Giants TE Evan Engram, Pittsburgh Steelers LB Devin Bush and more.
The Science
VKTRY Insoles store energy and the result is a “spring-like” rebound surge improving shock absorption as well as reducing load management and physical stresses all over the body but especially feet. Independent performance testing of athletes inserting VKs saw their standing broad jump by a substantial average increase of +4.0”, while vertical jumps went up +1.6”, and perhaps most important of all for the sake of athletic judgments, 40-yard dash times saw sprints increase by an average of 0.12 seconds.
“Most insoles are made from foam and plastic, but VKTRY is full length carbon fiber and that makes a difference – that gives me a competitive edge,” added Chubb.
VKs are customized built by using the athletes size combined with needs of a specific sport or activity.
The Team
Arciuolo was granted a product patent in 2015 and began manufacturing and marketing the insoles in 2016 from company headquarters located in Milford, Conn. They are 100% made in America.
By 2020, sales and usage were booming so management decided to give back to consumers through the launch of their “VKTRY4HEROES” program as a mean of support and appreciation for our nation’s COVID heroes, all you health care professionals. The result was 700 free VKTRY Insoles provided to health care workers and first responders as a tribute to the hardworking and brave souls, (not shoe soles).

Sports Techie, I used insoles for almost two decades after plantar fasciitis caused me excruciating pain in my arches. My Mom, at the time an REI employee, had the same issue and recommended I use inserts since it helped her. This product fix, fixed my medical issue quickly and I hope, permanently.
I have not used VKTRY GEAR but take the word of NFL players and healthcare workers, VKTRY Insoles, perform.
Now, it’s your turn.
See you later sportstechie in Seattle, Atlanta and around the world!
