Rite Aid’s “Tackle The Flu” Sweepstakes is underway to encourage professional football fans to safeguard their health this flu season. From Oct. 11, 2024 through Nov. 12, 2024, anyone visiting their local participating Rite Aid store in the Seattle, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Los Angeles markets can enter by scanning a QR code at the pharmacy counter for a chance to win two tickets to an upcoming home game for their local professional football team—no purchase or immunization required. One winner per market will be randomly selected on Nov. 15, 2024. Whether you are part of the 12s, Fly, Eagles, Fly, the Terrible Towels, Rams Nation or are a Super Chargers fan, the free opportunity to win 2 tickets to an upcoming home game is here thanks to Rite Aid. The Sports Techie community blog encourages all NFL fans to boost your immunity with flu shots as well as by eating nutritious food and drinking plenty of liquids, exercising regularly, recovering and resting, and getting the right amount of sleep including the all-important REM phase, to help ward off viruses, super bacteria and other sicknesses. The “Tackle The Flu” Sweepstakes is another way Rite Aid is helping to promote healthy communities and encourage customers to take an active role in safeguarding their health during the upcoming flu season.

Tackle The Flu

Many healthy or immune compromised people are more susceptible to respiratory infections when the weather turns colder and they gather more frequently indoors. Now is the ideal time to talk with your local pharmacist about the arsenal of vaccinations that can help protect yourself and others.

“When residents visit their Rite Aid store to participate in this sweepstakes, they’re encouraged to talk with their pharmacist about the many ways they can protect themselves and others in the community from the flu, COVID, RSV, pneumonia and more,” said Summer Kerley, Group Vice President, Pharmacy Growth and Clinical Programs at Rite Aid. “We’re committed to providing convenient access to flu shots, expert advice and essential health products to make it easier for our communities to tackle the flu all season long so they can enjoy the game instead of grabbing for tissues.”

Rite Aid is a full-service pharmacy committed to improving health outcomes. Sports Techie, I kid you not, my sons’ Mom was diagnosed with COVID just two days ago. She caught the virus while attending a Halloween parade in Athens, GA on Saturday night. In all transparency, my COVID shot has expired and I need to get a booster, yesterday, eh.

The flu shot is something my parents get every year. I have never had a flu shot but I am willing to do so. How about you?

Fellow Seahawkers, and all you Steelers, Eagles, Rams and Chargers fans, be proactive with it comes to fighting the flu, COVID, RSV, pneumonia and other sicknesses, by getting vaccinated, and being as healthy as possible. I am pro vaccine but understand we each have to make an educated decision to make regarding vaccines based on science and medical experts knowledge, about whether to do so.

Do not drink bleach to prevent or cure COVID because it simple does not work.

And, I voted, make sure you do too.

Thanks to Rite Aid for sharing information about their “Tackle The Flu” Sweepstakes.

Please find more information about the sweepstakes and participating locations on the contest website.

Go Seahawks and Go Hawks!

See you later sportstechie in Seattle, Atlanta and around the world!
