A “thermometer pill” may come to the rescue and help in saving lives. The pill consists of a quartz crystal sensor with a micro battery wrapped in silicon. It helps in transmitting heart rate data and temperature to the team trainer when the pill travels through the gastrointestinal tract, once swallowed.
