Launched in 2011, the ACC Digital Network is the official digital video network of the Atlantic Coast Conference providing all forms of video content and programming including instant game highlights, Must See Moments and daily conference news as part of ACC Now brought to you by Ruby Tuesday.

In addition, the ACC Digital Network spring program lineup will feature in depth Spring Football reports, a new series, ACC Baseball Weekly, as well as complete coverage of the ACC Baseball Championship Series in May. Even NFL fans will have the ability to enjoy access to the ACC’s official player highlights and draft profile videos leading up to the NFL Draft. The ACCDN’s football analyst, Clinton Portis will provide insight and reactions to the ACC player selections in the NFL Draft on May 8th.

“We are thrilled to be available on Amazon Fire TV,” said Dana Golden, EVP Strategic Partnerships of the ACC Digital Network. “We know from our fan base that our free, professionally produced video content, customized by school and sport is in high demand by students, parents, and alumni across the country. Making our network available through Amazon devices provides another access point for college fans everywhere to enjoy sports coverage without a cable subscription.”

The ACC Digital Network chose the 1 Mainstream TV distribution platform to publish the ACC Digital Network application in days to Amazon Fire TV. 1 Mainstream is the leading publishing platform for premium programmers streaming media across the most popular “over-the-top” TV devices, such as Amazon Fire TV. ACC fans can access the free streaming content by downloading the ACC Digital Network app on their Amazon Fire TV and Amazon Kindle Fire tablets.

The Atlantic Coast Conference, now in its 61st year of competition and 15 members strong, has long enjoyed the reputation as one of the strongest and most competitive intercollegiate conferences in the nation. ACC members, consisting of Boston College, Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Miami, North Carolina, NC State, Notre Dame, Pitt, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest, continue to build upon the cornerstones on which the league was founded in 1953 with a consistent balance of academics, athletics and integrity. Seattle based Amazon has a global digital agenda that is just beginning to reveal itself. They are hungry for compelling sports content that viewers can watch on Amazon Fire TV and the ACCDN fits the model. If this is anything like the Amazon Prime program, get ready for top notch service and unique Fire TV programming.

Break out the Kindle Fire tablets and tune into the upcoming ACCDN collegiate baseball season, find out your spring football news and listen to NFL draft experts in the clouds. Apple TV, Chromecast and Roku set-top boxes, meet your new competitor, Amazon Fire TV, only they are the only ones distribution ACC Digital Network content.

In other exciting ACC Now news today, Wake Forest officially hired Danny Manning to be their new Men’s Head Basketball Coach. After two seasons at Tulsa, including an NCAA tournament berth this year, Manning now has the ACCDN on Fire TV to help brand his new university and conference as sports technology friendly, something recruits, media and ACC fans love to engage with.

I remember watching Danny win the NCAA Championship in 1988 with Kansas, become an Olympian and a two-time NBA All-Star, so this is not rocket science when I say, good hire Wake Forest.

The ACCDN management team must be exited to partner up with Amazon so their savvy fans, sponsors and alumni digital users can interact with custom ACC sports content and social media hubs.
