Citi® Every Step of the Way® Welcome Video

Citi donated the $500K to the USOC. It is not donating the funds to the sports programs directly. Instead, at the conclusion of the Every Step of the Way program, the USOC will distribute the funds to their sports programs. This is where you, a Sports Techie community member, can make a big difference. Consumers cannot award funds directly, rather they are ‘helping” to award the funds.

Every sports program has a fundraising goal. Once that goal is met, Sports Techie consumers will not be able to help allocate funds to that program through Citi.com.

Consumers who are ThankYou®  members can redeem their own ThankYou Points for a donation to the sports program of their choice. Any such program would be in addition to the funds provided by Citi through he Every Step of the Way program.

Each Team Citi athlete has teamed up with a U.S. Olympic, Paralympic or Community program in need.

This post was created in partnership with Citi®. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sports Techie, I have written hundreds of blogs over four years but this one hits home as much as any other because of my passion for all Team USA sports programs, the fast-growing adaptive sports culture, and amazing sports technology. One person can truly make a difference for others in this world but an entire community can change the status quo that much easier for all which is why I am proud to be part of the Citi Every Step of the Way influence program as the founder and curator of the Sports Techie blog and social network.

Women’s Hockey, Paralympic Sled Hockey and Alpine Skiing, and Figure Skating in Harlem, as well as the other USOC sports in need are all worthy of your click.

Follow #EveryStep and the Twitter user name @CitiEveryStep. If you are interesting, please follow and support FigureSkatingHarlem @FSinHarlem. This is a free service so as master Yoda said so eloquently, “Do or do not … there is no try.” Your click to help is needed now. As a top sports tech company likes to say, Just Do It.

Be sure and watch the Opening Ceremony today on NBC at 7:30 EST, and help Citi celebrate Team USA in this year’s Sochi 2014 Games.
