The original Jackie Robinson professional baseball contracts while he played for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Montreal Royals, together valued at $36 million, are slated to be sold at a Live Auction on January 31 in New York City. The two items went on sale yesterday during Martin Luther King Jr. Day running until the 100th anniversary of the deceased baseball and civil rights legends birthday. Heisman Trophy From Notre Dame Auctioned

The 1987 Heisman Trophy earned by wide receiver Tim Brown and his fellow Notre Dame college football team was secured at the Goldin Auctions 2018 Holiday Auction for the final record price of $435,762. The same day Kyler Murray won the 2018 Heisman while playing for Oklahoma. The Fighting Irish and Sooners join Alabama and Clemson as the four teams in the upcoming College Football Playoff. In excess of 900 memorabilia lots sold at the auction but none with more total cost than Tim Brown’s original Heisman Trophy.
