The Sports Techie community blog is excited to report that digital sport market leader deltatre today shared the news with our readers that they sent 100 employees to support the coverage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament. The excited and diverse team of 100 was sent to South America to reach the final match in Brazil with proprietary sports tech and influential content.

Approximate 100 deltatre sports specialists and technicians are currently set up in 12 host Brazilian cities and stadiums, including: 48 on-venue operators alternating in each regional stadium, six specialists at the International Broadcast Centre in Rio de Janeiro supporting international TV channels, and a team of 20 people executing services from the Operations Center (OPC) in deltatre’s Turin headquarters.

With a one-of-a-kind set of digital, media and broadcast services as well as on-venue operations, deltatre will be working from Brazil as well as from its headquarters in Turin, Italy, to enable the most technologically-centric coverage of the world’s biggest sports tournament, which kicks-off this Thursday, June 12.

According to deltatre, “the redesign and development of the Federation’s primary digital communication property, www.fifa.com/worldcup, is also providing the football’s governing body with Results System and TV Graphics services for the live coverage of all matches for audiences around the globe. “

Additionally, a custom version of deltatre’s pioneering digital video player Diva has been tweaked to power the most sophisticated and powerful digital video coverage to more than 10 media rights- holding broadcasters based all over the world.

”Our staff arrived in Brazil more than a month before the official start of the games to set-up each environment, run test games, check all operational and technical aspects before the actual airing of the first match on June 12,” explains Mauro Pallisco, deltatre’s Product Director of World Football.
