Newcastle is poking fun at the big-budget ads that many beer companies create each year and yesterday they released “The Mega Huge Football Game Ad Newcastle Could’ve Made”. Complete with giant robots, beach babes and celebrity cameos. The Sports Techie community blog is excited to share the Underwhelming Storyboard Newcastle Made, For The Overwhelming Mega Huge Football Ad We Didn’t Make, before tomorrow’s final NFL game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos at MetLife Stadium that airs on Fox Sports at 6:00pm pm EST. Is it a smart marketing idea for Newcastle to not spend money on official Super Bowl advertising but instead make a trailer anyways that they are cross-marketing across other tech platforms such as YouTube? I think so but you be the Sports Techie judge.

Big Football Game Parody

We welcome the staff at Newcastle to roll with Sports Techie. Your mind blowing ad is sure to inspire social media mania during Super Bowl XLVIII on Fox Sports tomorrow. The advertisement has already gone viral which was the sport business plan all along by the creative masters. Save money you would normally spend with the NFL on digital advertising and spend that cash back on the brand, products and more genius ads. This strategy will not work all brands but it will for the ones who put it all together like Newcastle. Follow #Newcastle on your smartphones, tablets and second screen digital devices,

Here’s the ad Newcastle could have made if they believed in blowing millions of dollars on a Mega Huge Football Game ad.

Newcastle Advert –

Spoiler Alert – Watch Video First

The ad opens with the hero on a desert island. He spots a Newcastle Brown Ale bottle, opens it, and through digital magic, presto, two hundred bikini clad ladies appear led by Anna in body paint only.

The party gets turned up with a DJ, jet skis and party sharks in a conga line having party shots. Hundreds of hyper evil intelligent apes descend from helicopters and destroy everything. Next scene a massive evil robot rises from the water bent on destroying all humans.  This is no CGI robot, rather it is a super expensive one. The skateboarding cats come next to save the day, or Newcastle may morph the cats into teacup pigs on skateboards who save the day, or not.

The lead cat is voiced by Keyshawn. He tosses a Newcastle bottle and hits an evil ape not wearing a cup in his jewels and says, “Deal with it.” Just great slapstick comedy. Anna says, “Game over.” She leads the crowd in a massive unified dance; the power of partying destroys the robot.

Max the Newcastle party dog gives the hero a high-five. The hit band that says, “Hey” a lot sings Newcastle lyrics. In the Newcastle ad world, millions of cases of their ale are then purchased from stores causing a nationwide sell out. You email your Mom. A broadcast signal travels millions of miles to the planet depplar four, the entire alien race, Uni-mind, say in one community thought, “Man I bet that commercial sold a lot of beer.” Epic explosion to logo.

Digital Buzz

Newcastle doesn’t believe in blowing millions of dollars on a Mega Huge Football Game ad because that could be money spent towards making more beer. Instead, Newcastle Brown Ale is showing us the storyboard for the ad they would have made if they had to make a Mega Huge Football Game Day ad. I like how they use technology such as CGI to create this fun-loving branding campaign video that activates during the biggest sporting event on the planet, SB 48 weekend.

Explosions, scary fish and thrilling escapes mixed with rock slides, sexual tension and ceremonial dances would have been nuts if they had the money to make it.

The Official Stock Footage Trailer for the Mega Huge Football Game Ad We Didn’t Make

“Just because Newcastle didn’t make a Mega Huge Football Game Day Ad doesn’t mean we can’t make a trailer for it,” claims Newcastle.

Actress and singer, Anna Kendrick and football legend Keyshawn Johnson take center stage in this tongue-in-cheek effort that pokes fun at all the ridiculous, excessive, overused shticks and over-the-top antics generally found in traditional Big Game commercials.

Fans can also see storyboards, focus groups, and behind-the-scenes interviews with Kendrick and Johnson at ifwemadeit.com but need to be of drinking age. Are you old enough to be legally blown away by their ad?

According to Newcastle, “We don’t believe in making multi-million dollar Mega Football Game Ads. We do believe in creating multi-hundred dollar storyboards about them.”

Sports Techie, The Underwhelming  Storyboard Newcastle Made For The Overwhelming Mega Huge Football Ad We Didn’t Make storyboard has animals, robots and recreation which are fun-damental topics our community likes to know more about.

SuperBowl 48 will have many funny commercials like this one. Technically it is not a Super Bowl commercial but history may show that it actually was thanks to the amount of Sunday views on YouTube and other marketing channels such as curators and bloggers like myself who love blogging about Sports Techie centric BigGame adverts. The ROI on this ad will definitely allow Newcastle to brew more beer for their growing fan base all over the United States and wherever their tasty brews are available around the world.

I believe this creative advertisement campaign is a winner and will help sell more Newcastle Brown Ale. Do you? Please leave your a blog comment below or at any of or social media network links.
