Set your Soul free with the Mercedes-Benz new CLA class 2013 Super Bowl 47 commercial

Introducing the all-new CLA by Mercedes-Benz

Introducing the all-new CLA by Mercedes-Benz

Set your “Soul” free with the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA class 2013 Super Bowl 47 commercial.

The Mercedes-Benz all-new CLA 2013 Super Bowl commercial is tempting to imagine. Sure the main character is a dude who I consider to be Sports Techie but it might as well be a woman. It’s the life image upgrade offered by the Devil, played by actor William Dafoe, which this CLA advert delivers. “This September, set your ‘soul’ free,” says Mercedes-Benz USA.  Make a deal with the Devil and have the car and everything that goes with it…!

Catapult Sports has sports technology made Down Under for the world’s use.

Catapult Sports

When you think about athletic tracking technology it will serve you well to remember that Catapult Sports is based in Melbourne, Australia and now has new offices in the UK, Asia, and here in the United States. Because of Skype I was able to chat over the Internet with Boden Westover, Media & Marketing Manager, about their new sports business or #sportsbiz happenings.

The #digisport company began with an Australian Institute of Sport concept created for the Athens Olympic Games. With some government funding and mechanical engineers on the team, Catapult Sports was founded in 2005.

Why 2013 is the year of the Sports Techie

Why 2013 is the year of the Sports Techie.

Phillips ultrasound of my first son

Sports Techie Baby!

The best reason 2013 is the year of the Sports Techie is because I am expecting my first child this year with Jessica Stone. Not sure on a name yet but we do know it’s a boy.  I am more excited about this blessing than words can describe.  Writing this blog is in tribute to my son as a good omen to his future and the Sports Techie adventures to come.

Laugh if you will but Jess and I refer to him as Ricky Bobby for now. Yep, think Talladega Nights and Will Ferrell. I actually like the name because my brother is known to many as Ricky and I am Bobby to friends and family. Plus, Jessica hails from Georgia where NASCAR is more of a big deal then here in Seattle...
